How scores are calculated
Each stock receives a composite score between 0 and 1. Seven metrics are
scored individually (each 0–1), then combined with the weights below. Price-sensitive metrics (price,
P/E, FCF yield) are refreshed each trading day; fundamentals (DCF intrinsic value, dividends, company
age) are rescanned weekly.
DCF model parameters
Metric descriptions
- DCF Margin of Safety — 5-year FCF projection + terminal value discounted at WACC.
Intrinsic value is set weekly; MoS is recomputed daily using the fresh price.
- FCF Yield — Free cash flow divided by market cap; higher is better.
- P/E Score — Scored 1.0 at P/E ≤ 10, penalised sharply above 30.
- P/B Score — Price-to-book; scored 1.0 at P/B ≤ 1, 0 at P/B ≥ 5.
- Dividend Yield — Current yield; 6.7%+ maps to 1.0.
- Dividend Growth — Fraction of past 5 years where annual dividends grew YoY. Weekly
scan only.
- Company Age Bonus — 1.0 for companies ≥ 15 years old; linearly scaled below that.
